When Dominiczak was a child...

... anything could happen:)

I am sure that some of you know that I have a twin sister; for those who don't know, I've got news - I've got a twin sister!
Her name is Agata and she's 3 minutes older, although she doesn't look like. All in all, we don't look like twins either:P
As infants and then a-few-year-olds we were dressed the same, but it stopped when we were in primary school. We also went to the same high school, but after the matura exams we decided to separate. Whereas I study in Poznań, she works on her BA in Leszno.
Those of you who know both of us know that our characters are just like our appearance - totally different! She's quiet and a bit shy, very hardoworking and rather a domestic type. I'm talkative (usually with the speed of sound), sociable and lazy(KJO hasn't changed that one;)). We used to argue and fight a lot when we were younger, but now we are usually getting on quite well. Hope it's gonna be even better in the future;)

Which type of children were we? Hard to say. There were times we could spend the whole day outside playing with children from our neighbourhood, but there were also times when we stayed at home and played simple card games with our grandparents:) I cannot complain about my childhood, as I have really nice memories from that period of my life and the pictures are definitely helping me with keeping them alive!

And what about the picture? We have plenty of family albums with every stage of our lives and also all the important moments (including baths!)are caught there. I think I like especially those like the one above, as we are almost always laughing and playing cheerfully.

Sounds of my soul.

8 handsome men, 8 incredible voices and 8 stories that are mixed under one name – AUDIOFEELS. The band comes from Poznań and exists from April 2007. They have met in Adam Mickiewicz University Choir and come up with an idea of creating an unusual vocal group.
Audiofeels represent a style called vocal play which is extraordinary in terms of instruments, as the only ones they use are their voices. Trumpet, guitar, drums and bass – it’s all there!
They became famous thanks to a TV show ‘MAM TALENT’; they got to the final and won the 3rd place which has started their carrier and days of fame. Starting from small concerts and finishing with huge, cultural events in Warsaw’s Congress Hall or Poznan’s Great Theater, AUDIOFEELS can be proud of themselves. Autumn 2009 – that’s when they have released their first album, which contains covers of popular songs like ‘Billy Jean’, ‘Shape of my heart’ or ‘Nothing else matters’.
Nowadays, their biggest fans, also including me, are waiting for the bands second album, which is going to be totally theirs– lyric and sound arrangements, both written and recorded by them, are hopefully going to surprise the audience.

Touching story of Lizzie Velasquez...

I found the story during my everyday gossip reasearch. It really made me think about my own problems and reconsider them as serious.

Lizzie Velasquez is only 22 years old, but looks three times older and the life experience she has is impressive.

Once she was born, her parents were told she would be unable to live on her own; they simply didn't give her any chances. She was supposed to be totally dependent on her parents, unable to learn how to walk or speak.

The disease she has is extremely rare and only 3 people in the entire world, including Lizzie, have got it. It still has got no name. The main symptom is being unable to gain weight. She is not fragile or has any eating disorders. She has to eat in every 15-20 minutes, and the total energetic value of her daily meals reaches 8000 calories.

Now, she is a student, has published a book about her fight with the undiagnosed disease and is dreaming of finding the diagnosis and naming it 'Lizzie syndrom'. What is more, she wants to become a motivational speaker and she works very hard in order to achieve the goal.

Now I see that some of my major problems seem to be minor in comparison to Lizzie's. I wish I had her strength to overcome the life difficulties.

Where do I live?

My hometown is pretty small, but I think it has its own charm.

That's the place where I grew up, attended primary and secondary school, made my first friends.

It is situated about 45 km from Poznań on the way to Leszno and Wrocław, so the train transportation, which I use almost every day, is very convenient.
Kościan has got about 24.000 citizens, many of whom study or work in Poznań or Leszno, as it is a better perspective for the future.

We have few churches, roundabouts and supermarkets:P

We have a mayor who has been elected for the second time and his name is Michał Jurga.

For many of my classmates it is known from dairy products, which are really tasty:)

Books to be read, stories to be told...

There were many books that I read when I was younger, but while browsing through the top list, I found this one particulary important.

In Poland known as 'Dzieci z Bullerbyn', in the US released as 'The Children of Noisy Village', written by Astrid Lindgren, was one of my favourite. It tells a story about six children living in a tiny, remote village in Sweden.

The whole story is told by a girl named Lisa, who tells us about her life and adventures in the small and neat Swedish village Bullerby (Bullerbyn in Swedish). The village consists of three lined up houses where seven children with their parents and housekeepers live: Lisa with her older brothers Lasse and Bosse, the siblings Britta and Anna, as well as Ole with his little sister Kerstin. Astrid Lindgren not only depicts a village with a special charm, but she also creates a perfect children's world; it touches the reader especially by its simplicity which holds the deep wisdom of true human values and a great amount of fine humour.

I think that many of you have read it and appreciated as much as I have.
